I feel like there are a million versions of this already on this site, but here goes.

My name’s Christian. I made this website when I found out that my first adult fantasy novel, Seed of the Black Oak, was going to be published (summer 2026!) and that I needed more of an online presence to promote my work.

See, I’ve been trying this whole “author” thing since I was about 12 years old (which was all the way back in 2004) and while I’ve published a few books and a thesis that I’m proud of to varying degrees, this is the biggest thing.

It also makes me feel like I have a stake in public discussions and discourse about fantasy fiction and related topics like tabletop RPGs, which I also have a couple of projects involving.

So that’s why this website exists. I’m going to try to make it like other website/blogs that I’ve fallen in love with in the past, like The Alexandrian or History For Atheists; sites that readers can come back to periodically to find something new and engaging.
